Builds relationships with all employees in order to foster a more open and communicative environment.
Provides support to all associates in relation to understanding Company Policy and State and Federal Law.
Manages Human Resource associates who handle hiring/employment, associate communication and general Human Resources.
Roles and Responsibilities o Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable lawso Interview, hire, and train associateso Plan, assign, and direct worko Appraise performanceo Address complaints and resolve problemso Builds positive associate moraleo Provides coaching and guidance to management through the lifecycle of the associate including direct assistance in the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management and termination processes while partnering with our centralized areas related to compensation, benefits, risk management and payrollo Meets with associates (exempt and non-exempt) to discuss questions or issues pertaining to Company Policy and/or State and Federal Lawo Makes recommendations that effectively resolve problems, by using judgment consistent within standards, policies, and procedures supporting Federal, State, and local employment lawo Coordinate training and train associates (exempt and non-exempt) in areas including employment, performance evaluation, and policyo Coach management in regard to employee relations and corrective action.
Oversee performance evaluation process.
Appraise performanceo Make decisions and assist in resolving issues in the areas of employment, leaves of absence and associate communicationo Respond to all legal requests.
Partner with legal counsel to prepare for necessary mediations, arbitration, production of documents, etc.
for court proceedingso Builds relationships with all associate in order to foster a more open and communicative environment and provides support to all associates in relation to understanding Company policieso Investigate all complaints of harassment or anything violating Company Policy.
Make recommendations on resolutiono Organize and facilitate yearly projects including Service Awards Banquet, Employee Appreciation Day, Motor Vehicle Records, hearing tests, Golf and/or Fishing Tournaments, Holiday Luncheon and gift, and Wellness FairRequirements o Minimum age 18 years oldo Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policyo Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policieso Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the jobo Ability to read, write and speak Englisho Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelineso Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assetso Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technologyo Strong leadership and organizational skillso Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associateso Bachelor's degree/Bachelor's Art from four-year College or university; or 7 to 10 year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceo Microsoft Office Suite experience requiredo SAP experience preferredo Union experience administering a collective bargaining agreement requiredo Ability to make presentations to groupso Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skillso Ability to multi-tasko Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive HR experienceo Three (3) years Employee Relations and previous Human Resources supervisory experience preferredCCBCU is an Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled.
