Production Control Coordinator

BASIC FUNCTION: Develops and monitors production schedules for machining, welding, fitting, assembly, and repair for the Theodore Plant. Responsible for specific areas of production scheduling, quoting, order release, manufacturing schedules, and coordinates with shipping to meet customer ship dates.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Verifies planned order labor and material requirements to support on-time delivery with current material lead time and shop load.
2. Processes work orders as required by ERP and customer RMAs.
3. Prepares and distributes Job Packets to the shop floor and to Quality as required.
4. Ensures parts are manufactured to current engineering revision.
5. Generates engineering file for manufactured parts as required.
6. Processes Repair work orders as required by Sales.
7. Monitors, verifies, and confirms open work order status for on-time completion.
8. Updates work centers with current dispatch schedule.
9. Confirms material availability at work center as dictated by dispatch schedule.
10. Ensures work order numbers are clearly marked on jobs while following through the manufacturing process.
11. Attends and is prepared for weekly production meeting.
12. Works closely with manufacturing to identify and resolve issues that interfere with efficiency and on- time completion of work orders.
13. Communicates between company departments as required.
14. Abides by all KBC policies with emphasis on attendance and safety.
15. Strives to meet or exceed customer expectations and strives for continuous improvement in the daily processes of conducting business.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Anything over 50 pounds requires two people or the use of a lifting device. Must be capable of hearing or have an awareness of the operation of forklifts and cranes moving throughout the facility. Must be certified to operate material handling equipment; i.e. overhead crane, forklift, etc. Must be able to move around the shop floor and negotiate ramps and uneven floor surfaces with exposure to a typical shop environment; i.e. extreme heat, cold, dust, noise, fumes, and other elements. Must also be able to work in typical office conditions, to negotiate office steps, and to sit for long periods of time to work at a computer. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and bend to examine parts and to pull files and records. Must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes along with other required PPE.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Requires a technical background and a working knowledge of AutoCAD and good math skills. Must have two years' experience in industrial equipment design, an excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must be capable of working flexible hours if needed. Must have the ability to multi-task. Should have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong Microsoft Office and ERP system skills. Must strive to accomplish all tasks in a safe and efficient manner and promote safety throughout the organization.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
