A manufacturing operation near Mobile, AL is searching for an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer with 1
years of applicable experience.
BS degree required.
The qualified candidate should have experience in improving methods, processes, and tooling to optimize production requirements and material flow in the assembly area.
The candidate will provide support to manufacturing in an effort to control, document, and reduce manufacturing costs.
This will be accomplished by developing standards, identifying and implementing cost improvements, auditing standards and methods to insure accuracy, and developing plant and workplace layouts using computerized methods.
The successful candidate should be able to develop and maintain routing sequences, establish alternate manufacturing methods and standards, perform economic studies on alternate equipment, methods and processes, and develop costs on new design models and major engineering changes.
Candidate should have experience with 5S, lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
