CNC Machinist
1. Machines part following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications.
2. Sets up, adjusts and efficiently operates CNC machine tools to perform diversified and difficult operations requiring close/exact tolerances on product with various dimensions, and unusual contours and finish specifications.
3. Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials into machine.
4. Maintain and Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
5. Calculates and set controls and programming to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut.
6. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required.
7. Exercises special care to ensure the machine is running correctly as damage to a machine may be costly
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
