Our Client Company is one of the world's leading specialty chemicals companies. The annual salary is 126K -148K dollars, depending on experience plus a 20 percent bonus target. Relocation assistance is available.
The Process Safety Manager provides, organizes and coordinates process safety support related to process technology issues during all phases of newly initiated projects, as well as for existing production processes. This support includes conceptual engineering, basic engineering, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning of production processes. He or she is responsible for identifying and recommending concepts for improving the process safety analysis or process hazard concepts for existing process technologies or production processes.
Requirements:
(Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered)
B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering (M.S. and/or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering preferred)
At least 10 years of experience in process engineering (15 years preferred), and at least 5 years of
experience in process safety (10 years preferred)
Detailed knowledge of process safety topics and their applications, including but not limited to, Process
Hazard Analysis, Layer of Protection Analysis, Process Safety Management (including regulations),
Consequence Analysis, Emergency Relief Systems, and all other process safety-related US regulations
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an emphasis on verbal and written communication
Ability to relay information and progress to upper management via presentations in an easily understood manner
