Established company has an opportunity in the beautiful coastal area of Alabama for two Engineers - Engine Specialists. Engineering programs will be planned and implemented to include definition of project philosophy, milestones, activities and staff requirements related to customer requirements. Will develop and maintain a schedule and budget for engineering project assigned. Reports will be provided on the status of project milestones and needed adjustments to schedules. Project staffing requirements will be identified. Will coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables , bid packages and design documents. Will also assign and oversee project personnel to phases or aspects of project like technical studies, product design, specification preparation and technical plans as well as product testing. Product design review for compliance with engineering principles, customer contract requirement, company standards, and associated specifications. Will also direct integration of products and technical activities. Will evaluate and review product request from the customer and formulate design concept to meet the customer requirement. Will produce component designs, solid models, and drawings using 3D computer aided design tools.
Bachelor degree in Engineering with a preference for a Master degree
Needed is at least 5 years experience with combustion engines, diesel engines, fuel systems and powertrain.
Must be skilled at assisting less experienced engineers.
