We are a growing Logistics/Warehouse and Transportation company is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Warehouse team in the Mobile, AL area.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a busy Warehouse, exceptional leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to managing people.
Knowledge of and working with Independent Contractors is essential, and the ability to be well-organized with attention to detail is crucial.

Summary:
Operations Supervisor oversees personnel in a manner that promotes company values and ensures the success of the company's short and long-term objectives.
The supervisor is responsible for making sure that shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution are performed in an efficient manner and takes precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss.
He/she will ensure quality service is provided to each customer.
We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and displays excellent leadership skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Manage receipt of shipments and correctly store products and items that will be kept in the warehouse.
Monitors owner operators' (independent contractors) activity and ensures completion of assigned routes.
Ensures all deliveries are performed within customer expectations.
Ensures all owner operators are operating under applicable company, federal and state rules, regulations and operating procedures.
Communicates effectively with the Director of Compliance.
Enter orders and pull products or items for pick-up.
Complete Overage, Shortage, & Damage Reports and other reporting as required.
Maintain inventory of warehouse.
Monitor warehouse staffing and conduct warehouse employee evaluations.
Maintain warehouse as a safe, clean facility.
Sets proper example of conduct and attitude for employees under his/her supervision, towards customers and the general public.
Process miscellaneous projects and tasks as prescribed by the Terminal Manager and/or Regional Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma/GED; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 5 years experience in the transportation/distribution/logistics industry Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role Strong communication skills Able to work independently and take initiative without immediate local supervision Multi-tasked oriented and possess good organizational skills Job Type:
