High School Diploma or equivalent If competency is achieved (attainment of competency test score required by department management) and upon successful completion of departmental orientation, the employee will be promoted to Monitor Tech.
If competency is not achieved, employee must be moved out of this position or terminated in accordance with IH policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
The monitor tech trainee will learn to competently and continuously observe, document and communicate EKG rhythms for an assigned group of patients.
The trainee will be expected, by the end of the training course to attain competency in ensuring accurate and timely verbal and written documentation of EKG rates, heart rhythms and changes as well as other parameters as necessary.
This position is intended to be assigned to an employee for a timeframe of no more than 8 weeks in order to accommodate and provide training and completion of departmental orientation for Monitor Tech.
Upon successful completion of the training and orientation, the employee should be promoted into the Monitor Tech position in accordance with IH policy and procedures.
With review, this timeframe may be extended up to an additional 4 weeks.
If the training and orientation are not successfully completed, the employee should be removed from this position in accordance with IH policy and procedures.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
